Ways To Connect

There are many ways to connect to IndirectIRC, and join in the fun!

The first way is by using our webchat, located on our WebChat page. Just type in any username you want, and connect! There is also mibbit support!

If you are using a standalone IRC client, here’s some instructions for popular clients.

X-Chat:
Simply Type: /newserver irc.indirectirc.com
Once connected, you may type: /join #indirect
(Replace #indirect with any channel you choose)

mIRC:
Simply Type: /server -m irc.indirectirc.com
Once connected you may type: /join #indirect
(Replace #indirect with any channel you choose)

irssi and most others:
Simply Type: /server irc.indirectirc.com
Once connected you may type: /join #indirect
(Replace #indirect with any channel you choose)

ADVANCED

We offer SSL on ports 6697 and 9999.
We serve plaintext connections on ports 6665 – 6669

IPv6 is offered on select servers, and is reachable via that server’s hostname.
IPv6 is also available via our IPv6 round-robin located at either irc6.indirectirc.com or ipv6.indirectirc.com.

We also offer regional round-robins.
EU(Europe) round-robin: irc.eu.indirectirc.com or eu.indirectirc.com
NA(North America) round-robin: irc.na.indirectirc.com or na.indirectirc.com

We also offer IPv6 only regional round-robins.
EU(Europe) IPv6 round-robin: irc.eu6.indirectirc.com or eu6.indirectirc.com
NA(North America) IPv6 round-robin: irc.na6.indirectirc.com or na6.indirectirc.com
